01 Agreement

When these Terms apply

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of Extentage, its content, features and services. By visiting or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms and the policies incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

You must have the legal capacity to form a binding agreement and must use the Site only for lawful purposes. These Terms apply to visitors, readers and anyone who submits material or interacts with a Site feature.

02 Nature of the service

Independent information—not professional advice

Extentage is an educational publication providing guides, explanations and comparative information about China-related payments, currencies, banking practices, supplier payments and cross-border transactions. Extentage is not a bank, broker, wallet, money-services business, law firm, accounting firm or government authority.

03 Access and submissions

Your responsibilities when interacting with the Site

If a feature requires an account or contact information, you must provide accurate information, protect access credentials and notify us of suspected unauthorized use. We may change, restrict or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.

If you submit comments, corrections, suggestions or other material, you retain ownership of your content. You grant Extentage a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, adapt and display it for operating, improving and promoting the Site. You confirm that you have the right to submit the material and that it does not violate another person’s rights.

04 Content rights

Intellectual property and permitted use

Unless stated otherwise, the Site’s original text, graphics, design, branding and arrangement are owned by or licensed to Extentage and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.

05 Acceptable use

Use the Site lawfully and responsibly

• Do not violate law, regulation, sanctions or another person’s rights.
• Do not upload malware, probe security, bypass access controls or disrupt availability.
• Do not impersonate others, submit deceptive material or misrepresent affiliation.
• Do not harvest personal data or use automated access in a way that burdens the Site.
• Do not reverse engineer or exploit the Site beyond rights granted by law or these Terms.

06 External information

Third parties, links and changing information

The Site may link to payment providers, official documents and other third-party resources. Links are provided for context and convenience and do not by themselves constitute endorsement. Extentage does not control third-party availability, content, security, terms or privacy practices.

Payment systems and regulations change. Although we work to improve accuracy and recency, we do not promise that every item is complete, current or error-free. Publication and review dates matter, and we may revise or withdraw content without notice. See Editorial Policy and How We Research for our standards.

07 Privacy and rights notices

Privacy, cookies and copyright complaints

Our Privacy Policy explains how information may be processed, and our Cookie Policy describes cookies, analytics and advertising technologies. Those policies form part of the framework governing use of the Site.

If you believe Site material infringes your copyright, email hello@extentage.com with identification of the protected work and material, your contact details, a good-faith statement, an accuracy and authority statement, and your physical or electronic signature. We may request information required by applicable law before acting.

08 Risk allocation

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Extentage disclaims express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy and uninterrupted or secure availability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Extentage and its officers, employees and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising from use of the Site. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, aggregate liability will not exceed USD 100 or the amount you paid to use the Services in the preceding 12 months, whichever is lower.

09 Enforcement

Indemnification, suspension and termination

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Extentage and its affiliates from claims, liabilities, losses and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your submissions, or your material breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe conduct violates these Terms, harms others, threatens security or exposes the Site to legal risk. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnification and dispute provisions—will continue to apply.

10 Governing law

Good-faith resolution and forum

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting formal proceedings, the parties should attempt in good faith to resolve a dispute for 30 days after written notice.

If unresolved, a dispute may be brought in the courts located in New York County, New York, or submitted to binding arbitration in New York by mutual agreement under commercially reasonable rules. Either party may seek appropriate injunctive relief to protect intellectual property, confidential information or system security. Mandatory rights and forums that cannot lawfully be waived remain unaffected.

Export controls and sanctions

You may not use the Services in violation of applicable export-control or sanctions laws.

Events outside reasonable control

Extentage is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, government action, labor disputes, internet failures and platform outages.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version and changing the effective date. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

Severability, waiver and entire agreement

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be adjusted only as much as necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and incorporated policies form the entire agreement about use of the Services and replace prior understandings on that subject.
